My pleasure. When a person is born with hearing difficulties, people don’t realize that is the underlying event. Helen Keller was completely right. I’m so glad I can read and write. I took ASL classes and will return to them again. But I must say it was like breaking a leg that hadn’t healed right. I had to unlearn and retool my coping skills.

Keep writing from your perspective. Allies help, but they are not a primary resource. I was in an HoH friendship group until the Pandemic hit. I miss them all and their open-hearts.
