I have two singing bowls that are pitched differently. What fascinates me is that the tone is lower if you weigh more. I suppose it is simple physics — but that is awe-inspiring. If you are steady and find the correct pace, overtones will occur. Each person experiences the tone (sound) differently. I let a gentleman in a group home try the singing bowl and he felt the vibration in his palm and he really enjoyed it. This was the hand with incomplete fingers.

I wish you had mentioned the gong bath. It is like listening to a symphony and you need a person who is musically gifted to offer it. Every bone in my body gets recalibrated, and as a result the tendons and muscles are able to release.

If Pranayama is not open to you, try a sound bath. Also, having your head, heart and torso on the same plane reduce blood pressure. This is why Savasana is so important. Well cited, but do you do practice?
