Defaulting to “you guys” doesn’t feel right, but I’ve heard individuals of different genders default to it in public address. I really want an honorific (Ms, Mr) that I can use that I gender neutral that can be made plural. And yes it is hard and yes it does matter. Mispronouncing a name is denying identity, agency, and a place in the world
