Deciding not to choose further medical intervention is a personal decision. Interaction with a counselor to make sure the person is not having a depressive episode that is impairing their judgment should happen. My aunt, mother, and father-in-law chose not to seek medical intervention. They were well-past 90 and could no longer read which was their greatest pleasure. They had made their decision decades before the precise moment arrived. Thank you for sharing.
